Healthy food in the Bierwirt
Native Swiss pine is one of the most expensive and healthy woods that our forest yields. That's reason enough for us at the Bierwirt in Innsbruck to panel a cosy parlour in the inn with this precious wood variety.
People from the Alps have been using Swiss pine wood for house construction and interiors for thousands of years. The wood also has a long tradition of being used in restaurants. Because Swiss stone pine has - and this is scientifically proven - a beneficial effect on human health.
A subtle effect
In 2011, we renovated the Tyrolean Swiss Pine Room, the Old Room, in our hotel. The wood was cut at exactly the right point in time in the lunar calendar and then stored in the forest for several years. After the "maturing process" of the wood was completed, the room with space for 45 people could be built.
Tyrolean cuisine
In the Swiss Pine Room at the Hotel Bierwirt, we serve simple home-cooked food and Tyrolean delicacies. Enjoy our food with a full-bodied wine or a glass of freshly poured beer and relax at the end of a long day or get the most out of your lunch break. This is our biggest dining room and can accommodate up to 45 guests for your event!
